The Southeast Michigan World Affairs Council is a non-profit and non-partisan registered 501(c)3 organization.
Each year, from October to April, we feature a series of high-profile lectures on foreign affairs. These are generally held in the early evening and preceded or followed by a reception where members can talk further with the speaker. We would like to thank Oakland University for supporting the establishment of the Council on the O.U. campus as opportunities arise, additional lectures and other special activities are offered during the season.
All Southeast Michigan World Affairs Council community outreach activities are funded through tax deductible memberships and generous donations. An important focus of the Council also includes outreach to the students in our community in order to build the next generation of diplomats, teachers, and global citizens.
If you are not already a member of SEMIWAC we encourage you to join us in support of the important work that SEMIWAC and all World Affairs Councils across the country are doing to educate, inspire, and engage the community in international affairs and critical global issues.
